Tematic have sent us a rare email detailing some job vacancies that they have. "Following a recent, highly successful volume Set Top Box (STB) deployment and a rapidly filling order book, Tematic has a requirement for contract and permanent software engineers with RISC OS and embedded expertise."

To apply you should have "a working knowledge of embedded environments and experience in ARM Assembler and/or C", and also required is one ore more of the following knowledge areas:

  • Device drivers for digital Video & Audio hardware
  • Javascript
  • Perl
  • Protocols for video servers
  • TCP/IP (specifically RTSP)
  • Communication protocols for Ethernet and USB etc.
  • Low power portable devices
